so my hair is purple now. I went ahead and put purple and copper peak a boos in my hair. the purple was a new color line I hadn't tried but heard was good for fun colors. It was a stain type of thing. It got everywhere. all over my hands, all over Kyle's hands as he put some foils in the back for me. when it was all ready to come out, I rinsed in the sink. the lady at the store told me to rinse with cold water to stop it from fading out too fast. so I rinsed with cold water, and conditioned, so as to not wash too much out of my hair, and wrapped it up in a towel. then I took the towel off and gasped. It looked like a really bad dye job. there were dark purple parts, and then the rest of my hair looked light purple. ahh! what have I done? I started panicking a little on the inside. I couldn't even really deal with it right away because I had to help Kyle push the truck around and try and jump start it because the battery wasn't working. I'll admit, my heart wasn't in it, I just wanted to tend to my hair. I went inside, pulled my clothes off and jumped in the shower and proceeded to shampoo my hair six or seven times with much vigor. each time as I rinsed the bubbles out, they were purple. they gradually got lighter and lighter. I conditioned a few times, because my poor hair had been through a lot at this point. when I got out, all had been restored. well there are a few ends that are little light purple, but it's not nearly as bad as I thought. In fact, I quite like it. My hair needed something done to it to freshen it up. My only complaint is that the copper could be more vibrant. I just used some old stuff that I had, and to be honest, I didn't really remember the exact shade of copper, so oh well. It's a more natural shade.
we're off to the island today for thanksgivin fun. I'm looking forward to it, and with that I should go and prepare...
