Oh I dont know what to write about. I've been loving maternity leave. I've managed to keep myself pretty busy so far, so there havent been days where I have been really bored. I guess that's a perk of having Tracy upstairs. I can always go have a visit with her. For some reason, even though we see eachother every day, there's always lots to talk about.

I have a week's worth of hair doing lined up for me. Ironic isnt it? But it has helped me realize that I could be pretty busy just doing it on my own. I am going to draw the line though, this is my last lazy time before baby, and I went on mat. leave for a reason- to get a break. I deserve a break right?

made buns today. I dont feel like writing anything else right now.

Surround Fwuff
What better way to kick of my maternity days than to surround yourself with fwuffs for the weekend? It was funzors.

Bethany and I arrived late Friday night. Amy was waiting up for us. She had her room all set up for me, complete with blossoms on the dresser, some reading material for me next to the bed incase I couldnt sleep and a framed picture of the twins and I when we were little to look at when I felt homesick. ha ha. It was nice, although i must say, everyday that I woke up in that damp room, my eyes were swollen puffs. Picture the worst I could look first thing in the morning, and it happened there. The twins pampered me, making me breakfast, putting my feet up and icing them because of their sudden intense swollenness. It was so weird! My feet were so fat and puffy, I could hardly bend them around.

I did Amy's hair which was fun, but a little tiring for me. They took me to this place in Saanich for yummy yummy souvlaki wraps which Bethany had discovered. We did some maternity shopping for me and got me some nursing bras (because I dont know if I have a hope to fill out Karen's that she sent me) The twins showed me wonderful things like the marble slab creamery. SO YUMMY! Such good creamy ice cream, and then of course there was noodle bach (in the name of bach-fub) which was very tasty to me, and not so much to the twins because there's was so spicey and amy just plain didnt like the flavour of hers. I had thai green curry. We had to wait in line for a long time. Amy went to get the car while Bethany and I waited and talked. There was a group of really dumb guys in front of us trying to be funny and rowdy. We walked around downtown as the sun was going down and sat at the harbour and listened to a Jamaican? play some cool instument I have never seen and sing songs. I also saw Benny and June for the fist time and that was really good too.

Everytime we took breaks from what we were doing we played super nintendo. So fun. I love that game. It's the only video game I'll play, well that and ddr. And I have to say we made the quite the progress. Good times. On Sunday I did Bethany's hair in snake braids and all the boys at church loved her even more than they already did.

There were many hilights to my trip, and I dont have the time to go over them all because i just found out that my midwife appointment has been changed. I had a really good time with my little sisters, I love them -whats not to love about a fwuff? When it came time to leave my heart was heavy and saddened. Im excited for them to come home for the summer!!

Its like summer out!
I cant believe how hot it's been. Its just constant sweating for me pretty much. I just woke up.I'm trying to wake myself up- I feel all groggy. I had a good sleep. Kyle left at around seven to start a new tiling job thing. This can be good, because if he doesnt wake me up too much when he leaves, my sleep not only continues, but I get the whole bed to myself, which opens up the possibility of new positions and comfiness. Good sleeps have been hard to come by lately. The night before it was soooo hot and at 2:30 am my new watch started beeping. I pushed a button and it stopped. But then it kept going every couple of minutes, and I STILL cant figure out why. I mean, its not beaping anymore, but I dont know why or how it was doing it. By the time I removed the watch and put it in another room, I was wide awake and I had a really hard time falling back to sleep. It seemed like everytime I was close, Kyle would move and breath really loudly. Those are some of my sleep woes.

We have been trying to get lots done on the house. Tracy and I have a list of things that we're incharge of doing. One of them is painting the trim for upstairs before it gets put on. So it's all laid out on the deck, and we get the privilege of either bending over, or kneeling/crawling to paint them in the hot sun. Its tiring. In fact, I get tired so easily straining my body like that. So lets just say we didnt finish them yet. I need so many breaks.

I thoroughly enjoy some good Billy Joel every now again. Does that make me a geek? It's good music. I have a midwife appointment today and Mom is taking me, because Kyle's got the car. I'm happy to share the experience with mom. Mom is not your typicaly mother, and I like how she doesnt feel the need to be really involved or think that things are her business when they're not really. I dont know, she gives you space when you're married, which can be the total opposite of Ann. Im sure she still has opinions, but she doesnt share unless you ask. On the other hand sometimes it can feel like she's no that interested in being there, because she has so much going on, she's busy all the time and stuff. We all love a Mudsy. Im hungry- time for some breakfast.

Rice Cakes
Right now there is nothing more satisfying than biting into a dry rice cake. I dont know why, but I love it, and it's really weird. Mom gave me all of hers. Lucky me.

Not much in the life of Stot-bot. I did Mom's hair today and it was nice visiting with her. Its the only time I really get to talk to Mom. I like my Mom. I got my hair chopped this week. Not a lot of people have noticed- either that, or they have chosen not to say anything because they dont like it. I got a lot cut off too. It's above my shoulders in a bob-type thing. A funkified bob if you will. I like it. It's different, and I was feeling so ugly with my previous hair, it's nice to have something new to experiment with, and it seems to be quite easy for me to do wich will be nice when the baby comes. I dont want to turn into "frump-mom." I just hope it doesnt accentuate the chubbiness of my face. It has gotten chubbier you know.

I cant wait to be done work. I just want to be done now. I want to get ready for my baby. Not that I have that much to do, or that I can do, I just want to focus on that. Kyle has been especially nice to me lately, and i like it. He even sent me a romantic ecard today. It was cute, it had two teddy bears looking at the stars together, (there were a few shooting ones) and corny music, and then it said "You and Me-We're for Keeps." Ha ha, I liked it alright?

I feel like shopping. It's just been so long. Not that I could buy or fit anything. The new Jacob opened. Katie, you and I should check it out...

Pulled Groinage
For those of you who think that when you are pregnant you can do normal things and feel normal afterwards, you are wrong. Having said that, the only people who probably think that are people who have never been pregnant. On Monday night the family got together for a group family home evening. We played California kickball. Of course, I was planning on playing, I mean, I have been going to the gym fairly regularly since being pregnant, and didnt even think kickball would be hard on me. So, I played. Not hardcore or anything, I mean, I kicked aproximately three balls, and made all away around the bases only once. Well that did it. I dont know if it was the kicking or the running or the combonation of the two, but by the time I hit home plate, I could hardly make it to my seat. No biggie, I thought to myself, itll wear off. Well it didnt. It got worse. Awckwardly enough, it was very very sore in the groinal region, thus when people asked where it hurt it was basically described as sharp pain in the crotch triangle. Some people dont want to know those things. As it came time for bed, it was at the point where when I'd move my leg pain so strong would surge to point of almost collapsing. So sleeping was a challenge. I mean, that pain on top of regular pregnancy uncomfiness, did I really stand a chance? The next day (yesterday) wasnt any better. I was basically unable to really walk at all, and if I did-pain, excruciating pain. So I had to call in sick at work, and be exceptionally lazy all day. Today it's better, but still owies. So that's my latest news. Who knew a little kickball playing would hurt so much??

My baby has been getting the hiccups two or three times a day lately, I think its the cutest thing.

Prom on Saturday went pretty well. It was thanks to Heavenly Father. I made Kyle give me a blessing before work, and so all credit for the hair I did goes to Him. I must say, there was some works of art leaving my chair. I wish I had taken pictures. I was sooooo dead tired by the end of the day, and Kyle wasnt around to pick me up, so I started waddling home. Its not that far. Well it felt far on that day, I had to go so slow and stop for breaks. There was an old lady walking a ways ahead of me with a walker, and let's just say I didnt gain on her. Fewf. Glad its over. On friday I put in my two weeks notice!!! Woo hoo!.
