A Happy Christmas Week!!!
As Laura's philosophy, one is entitled to a full week of celebrating one's birth. Therefore, it's still Jesus's birthday week. I really wish Christmas could last longer than it does. This Christmas was great. I got really spoiled by Amay and Kyle, and Ann. Many a precious thing that I wanted. Amy got me lots of cute clothes that I can wear while pregnant (maybe not the whole way through, but for part) and some really yummy vanilla spice body butter and shimmer lotion from the body shop which i love and think it smells christmasy too. There were other pertuns things she got me too, but I dont want to go on and on. Kyle got me a new house coat, the first season of Gilmore Girls (YAY!) and a new perfume I really wanted by Jennifer Lopez and lots of goodies in the stocking. Ann gave me a new pink jacket that she gave to me early because she didnt know if it would fit me by Christmas (which it still does but oh well) and to me and Kyle both, another piece to our lifetime cookware that I had been yearning for and a bunch of little things including slippers that I love and the twins insist that they're Mudsy slippers. I dont care, I like them and they match my housecoat. More than I had expected.

I've been living off yummy turkey leftovers. Im not getting bored of it either, everytime I marvel at how good it is. I LOVE turkey!!! I love making a turkey bun sandwhich with stuffing. mmmm yumzors deluxors minchuctors!!! ha ha ha.

Ann stayed with us for two nights, and by the time she left I was good and ready for her to go. Not that I didnt enjoy her staying with us, it was just time for her to go. I need space. Bethany and Laura came over and we watched the Last Samurai. Such a good movie. Beetuns hadnt seen it yet. So it was nice to experience with her for the first time. Laura and I had a few laughs through out, some Bethany joined in- others annoyed her what can I say, I have a habbit of annoying the twins during movies. Not that they're that easily annoyed or anything I just have a knack for it apparently. After that, I cut the Bangs of Bethany (should be a book) and Laura decided to get a sideswipe herself, so that was done as well. I was cautious, so I left them longer and didnt make them too thick, so if she decides its something she doesnt want, she can easily blend them into her hair, or grow them out with out it being too awckward. Then we went to mom and dads for a game of Slang teasers and then pictionary. Slang teasers is something I enjoy playing but am never very good at. In fact, I lost brutally, but it came to a point in the game where my definitions were getting rediculous, for expamle: fantods: a devout group of fans of Todd from Saturday Night's Warrior. Cherchivache (if thats how you spell it) an ugly hairless bumble bee, etc. Bethany gave me some of her guesses out of the kindness in her heart. And did you know that a blype is a piece of skin that peals off when you have a sun burn? It reminded me of when Bethany and I used to trick Amy by drying white glue on the back of our hands and pealing it off (we called the wrinkled look it gave us "momskin" and pretended that we were shedding all this skin from a sunburn....Or maybe it was Amy and I tricking Bethany- I forget. We used to keep the peelings in a container for safe keeping. Or wasnt there a time when one twin and I tried to trick the other by using skin off a garlic sausage and saying our surburns were pealing and it was all pink? ha ha ha. We were funny. Pictionary was fun too. Dad was his usual self, and I made the mistake of hurting his feelins, and he attempted to leave. I apologized quickly and he stayed. The last round we played the teams were Dad, Laura, and Kyle against me and Beetlemac. They were beating us pretty well, when Amy, a fresh mind showed up and we caught up. It was a tight game. Good times though. Good times had by all.

A Message from the bert bear
As the season is in full force it is time that all of you know that the bert bear of Christmas has been placed in his spot guarding the room of Christmas at mom and dad's. Last year mom put him away with all the other Christmas treasures, and whithout even telling her to, she knowingly placed him on his door. That's because it isnt something that needs to be told, it is an instinct anyone would find within themselves if one has the true Christmas spirit. Thats what the bert bear wants for one and all. The true Christmas spirit. Not about gifts, boxes, or pretty ribbuns, but about a humble birth of our savior and what His life means for us, and the love we should share because of it. Oh yeah, and the bert bear also wants to let you know that when you arent looking, he's doing a Christmas jig, which if you dont know, involves incredible hip movements giving one the impression that the hips are separate from the body, toe tapping, heal clicking and vigorous gyrating, complete with fur flying everywhere.

Actually, the bert bear of Christmas is something that I want to carry on with my children. It'll be part of the tradition, and every year there will be a story or message or something. Ha ha. I know that Im weird.

Infact, yesterday, the new girl Tiffany was in the back room on her lunch break and I entertained the thought of going back there, doing a geeky dance (the type that Amay and I frequently are caught doing together) and saying something about a holly jolly christmas and then calmly walking out as if nothing happened. Thats one scenario. The other one is while walking through shoppers drug mart yesterday the first noel was playing and I entertained the thought of suddenly belting out along with it while walking through the aisle and out the door. ..

In a Hurry
I just have few minutes before I have to rush off to work. Just wanted to let everyone know that Im still alive. Work has been busy and I have been working 10 hour days usually with only one lunch break and not getting payed over time. I have been exhausted. Between that and trying to get Christmas shopping done, I have been really busy. However, I love Christmas, and Im excited. I heard my baby's heartbeat this week at the midwife's for the first time! It was so neat. It solidified that fact that there really IS something in there! It was really fast and seemed so cute to me. Im in love, what can I say? Yesterday one of my regular clients just out of the blue asked me when Im expecting. Once again, totally caught me off gaurd, and I could feel my face go burning hot. But what's to be embarrassed about? I dont know, for some reason it embarrasses me because it means she noticed my stomach... At least I can admit it now though, because the boss knows. So she quietly shared in my excitement. (I say quiet because I've been asked to keep it low key...

There you go Andrea, chubby me at only three months. It doesnt always look like that though, if I suck it in a little, I just look wide-waisted.

The melted Snowman
On my short drive to work today, I passed a house with a snowman in front. It was once a well rounded snowman, as snowmen tend to be, but not today. Today it was a withering wilting piece with a tiny pin head. Actually the image was quite funny to me, and I giggled out loud. Things like that cheer me up and I draw on it for the rest of the day. Im at home for lunch right now. Today is a really long day for me. Started right at nine, and I'll probably go until around six, and barely have time to grab a bit to eat before class starts tonight. We are having a colour class. Goldwell is coming out with a new line of vibrant colours that will lift and deposit at the same time. So, instead of having to bleach out first, it does it all in one step. AND it will lift right through coloured hair, for those of you didnt know, colour doesnt lift colour (as a rule) but this does! Yay! Im excited to learn about it. I just hope it doesnt take forever. time to eat.

Getting Round in the Tum tum
Today is a long day for me. My clients are all spread out until late in the evening. Right now Im on a double lunch, which means I come home and eat. Its freezing out, at the salon and of course at home too. I sit with a little heater by me every where I go.

This morning I had an annoying client. She asked me flat out if Im expecting!!! I mean really, WHO asks that when its not obvious? Who would dare? Anyway, I didnt appreciate it, because it has felt like my waist has gotten fatter in the past week, and Im not thrilled. Its like its not baby its fat. Im really not sure if I've just gained a few, or if it's because Im pregnant. Anyway, I said no to her of course. I would have been so sad if I wasnt actually pregnant. Also, while i was blowdrying her, she took the dryer out of my hand and started doing it herself. She did her whole head herself, and I didnt know what to do? Just stand there like an idiot? It's not like she was doing anything that I couldnt have done, and this insulted me. Hairdressing is my profession, and her doing that, is like saying she doesnt think Im capable of doing a proper job. I felt like saying, I'm perfectly capable of doing that. Oh well. She's the one who had to pay an extra 10$ for a blow dry that she gave herself. Maybe Im just easily annoyed but I didnt like her.

Tonight, Kyle's favourite band is playing at the queens. Widemouth Mason. He's really excited to take me to see them live. Apparently they're really good live. He didnt get home from helping Esther and Evan move until 2am. Yeesh. Time for lunchie.
