Let's see...What did we do yesterday? Everything is starting to be a blur to me...Oh well we went shopping again. This mall was smaller and way less cool. Didnt buy a thing. We did however go to Bath and Body works and they are featuring this new pumpkin scent for fall. It is sooooo yummy! Slavica bought the oil and we are going to make our own body sugar srubs with it. Looking forward to that. There were these incredible smelling "temptation" lotions that they only had the samples of, they havent come to the store yet and arent coming until Im gone :(. Im such a sucker for yummy lotions. Love love LOVE!

We went to a beauty supply place to see if we could get colour to do Slavica's hair. Nope and the lady working there was dumb and acted like she knew stuff, but she didnt and she was trying to recommend colours that we didnt like. We gave up that idea, because, well it just wouldng work, and I dont feel like explaining why. We also stopped for frozen custard. It was yummy.

We were originally planning on going to Johns barber shop choir practice last night. Did you know his choir is choreographed??? I was looking forward to it, but then Slavica didnt feel like it because of the long drive, and I was ok with that too, because I was so tired. Doesnt john seem like the perfect person to be a member of a barber shop choir? His practices are so long, he leaves at 5 and gets home at 11!

Im may aswell tell you about my day today too. We went grocery shopping. It took all day. Slavica goes to four different stores. We met John for lunch at Costco. I didnt get to try the nut bar because we were in a hurry and had to pick up Alysha from school. I had a good time looking around Super Target. I wish we had target.

I had a nap and woke up all sweaty and gross. Ryan kept throwing the door open and yelling "CHRISTIAN!?" Apparently he didnt get it that I was sleeping in there.

Model Homes
Yesterday was a pretty lax day. John worked from home and it was nice to have him around. He's much more conversational as a husband than Kyle is. In the morning we just hung around the house. I walked with John to pick up Ryan from school. After lunch Slavica took me to look at some model homes. It was fun. Some of them were so nice! It gave me a lot of decorating ideas. There was one house that had an asian theme to the decorating. It was browns and pinks and I loved it. I also love red, for those of you who arent aware. Yesterday was a reminder of that. Maybe it has something to do with the season but I feel the need to get red back into my wardrobe.

I had a nap after that because doing all this fun stuff is exhausting. Slavica made delicious chicken enchiladas for dinner with fresh salsa. It was soooo good!!! Best enchilada's I've ever had! After dinner, slavica and I went to a jewlery party. I wasnt planning on buying anything, but there was this swarovski crystal necklace that would go perfectly with my earrings Kyle bought me for my birthday. So, I bought it. It'll arrive next week. Slavica also got a pretty necklace. We were quite limited to our choices because most of the pretty things were expensive. We're talking 85 for a necklace. Yeah, I wish. I learned things about myself last night. Like that I like dainty things for other people but for myself I prefer things to be chunky and more noticable. I like the bling. I like it big. Dainty stuff I like but I wouldnt wear very often. It's like it's too pretty for me. Anyway. We're about to go out now, but I'll just say we watched holes and it was good.

The shopping trip
First I'd like to let you all know that Slavica can make a mean smoothy-you dont even know it's healthy. She makes them after her runs.

We went shopping yesterday. Slavica, Ryan, Adriel and I went to this huge mall thing called Flatiron crossing (or something like that) It was a really nice mall. There was this big outdoor part with cool shops along it too. We did mostly looking though, not much trying on. I went to this store called Aeropastale. It had lost of cute things for reasonable prices. I tried on a bunch of things there, but not much success. I have high standards to the way I want clothes to fit me I guess. The pants were all lowriding kind that show crack when bending over. No thanks. I did find a shirt there for only $5. And I found another one at Amercian Eagle that's cutesy. I realized at the end of the trip that I need some skirts really badly, but we didnt even really look at skirts. Oh well. We'll go back again Im sure. Im also on the hunt for a halloween costume for Adriel. We were at the mall for about 4hours!

Slavica made this eggplant parmesan thing for dinner. It was good. Some people didnt like it though. Then John went out for his cubs night thing and Slavica and I talked and watched a bit of dancing with the Stars. When john came home he brought the movie Holes, because I said I had never seen it. So that's what we're watching tonight. We talked and laughed for a while and then I went to bed because I was exhausted. Thats my life lately at around 7pm Im soooo tired. That's if I havent had a nap...

In Colorado
Yesterday I left for Colorado. Im here visiting John and Slavica with the free ticket that Kyle got last year. Im going to try and update everyday to let you know what we've been up to, and also because if I wait til I get back I wont feel like writing everything, because that's the way that I am.

So yesterday was the travel day. It went ok. I was nervous about flying with Adriel. He was good though. He slept most of the way on both flights (I flew from Victoria to Seattle and from there to Denver.) The only downside was that the seats are rather narrow and I didnt have much space for him. I did bring my nursing pillow though, and that was actually a huge help, so Im glad I did. He's getting so long, his legs kept going over the arm rest and resting on the girl sitting next to me. She didnt seem to mind, thank goodness.

Im happy to be here! John and Slavica live in a cute house. They have a huge walk in closet that the boys are sleeping in while I occupy their room. Im sleeping on Christian's bed, and Adriel sleeps on Ryan's bed. They are soooo cute!!!! Ryan cant say his 'r's yet so when he talks it 's adorable. Christian is still a white blonde cheerful little boy. Both of them are good, and amusing to watch. Brenna and Alysha are doing well too. Brenna just started early morning seminary!!! I cant believe how old she's getting! She says seminary is awesome I (it starts and 6am *gasp*) She has a cute shorter haircut, side bangs and all flipped out. Alysha had grown a foot in the last year and is quite a bit taller than Brenna. She's also got braces now. She's gonna be a knockout.

John picked me up from the airport. We had soft tacos for dinner. Everyone else had eaten, so they sat around and watched us. ha ha. After everyone went to bed, John and Slavica and I stayed up and talked for a while. I got them updated on the family and mt Benson ward. They have lots of fun places to take me. Today is shopping for me. Finally some clothes to wear since giving birth! Although Im a bit warey about everything being too small and nothing looking good on me because that's what has happened the past few times I've even attempted to shop.

Right now Slavica is on her run and everyone else is at school. The phone keeps ringing. Should I answer it? It's not going to be for me, and I'll just have to take messages right? I miss my shaweetie. I hope he's doing ok. Im sure he is. No nagging wife to tell him to get off the computer, or pick up his clothes.

Not much goes on in my life, which is why my posts are infrequent. I have nothing to write about. Kyle goes to work, I stay home and somehow the day slips by and I havent really done anything other than take care of Adriel and some house work. When Kyle comes home and asks me what I have done, he gets tired of hearing that I took care of Adriel.

Went to the doctors today and got in trouble with the doctor (not really but scolded mildly). So the first time I see her she tells me that she doesnt approve of midwives and wouldnt have taken me on as a patient a few years earlier when she was a maternity doctor. Then, today when I came the receptionists sent me to the nurses station to have Adriel weighed before my check up thus making me late. I didnt know the procedure, that they were going to do that. So my doctor told me that I should come early because I had waisted her time, and she had to let other people go infront of me. So yeah, not off to the best start, but she seems nice so hopefully it will work out, because it's hard to find a doctor taking on new patients in Nanaimo.

Yesterday the twins showed up at my house at around 10am with candy and chocolate to watch the first season of Gilmore Girls. It was fun. We basically did that until around four in the afternoon. Amy left for home at around three. It was fun. Oh we took a break to play some ddr too.

Last night I went to a hair show party thing that Edwin and Fiona (old boss and wife) were throwing to promote their new educational dvd they just made and are selling. It was fun, I got to see some of my instructors from the college, and I won one of the door prizes. I never win things like that! (I guess I cant say never now, though) Adriel was good for most of it too. Unfortunately Megan (one of my co-worker friends) has a B.O. problem and after holding him, he slightly smelled like it too. Oh which reminds me, we all got gift bags with free products and stuff in them, and Kyle was going through it excitedly when I got home. He pulled out these fragrance samples, and with out paying too much attention he opened one and started applying it freely to his neck and wrists-all the while making this "yup, Im a stud" face. He walked past me a little later and I was overwhelmed by this strong sweet flowery smell. Ha ha. I asked him if he was sure it was men's cologne that he put on. "no" he said not sounding so studly after all. ha ha. I thought it was funny. He wreaked like a girl. Let's just say it wasnt a turn on.

Tasha's Visit
For those of you who arent aware, Tasha is Delanie's cousin, my roommate in Japan and Calgary (briefly) and one of my very best friends. We grew so close in Japan and had sooo much fun together. We hadnt seen eachother for over two years!! Both of us have had a baby since then. She had a girl last November and her name is Elina and she's very cute. She's really chubby, and has huge cheeks. Her nose and mouth disappear in her profile, it's hilarious.

I went down to Victoria on Tuesday to pick her up. I was so excited I couldnt sleep the night before. I was up at 5am. I had to leave pretty early to pick her up, but not that early. Of course, her luggage didnt make it though to the island so we had to take it up with the baggage lady. She called us divas as we left. We drove home, and went to visit Delanie. Tasha hadnt seen them since my wedding. It was Delanie's birthday so we planned a little get together with all the girls at Tracy's house. Tasha went swimming in Brannen Lake with the kids.

I dont have time to write everything in detail so I'll give a quick overview of the things we did

-The get together didnt last that long because I was so tired, but we had crepes and they were really yummy.
-We went to parksville beach, and it was beautiful and perfect. The water was all warm because the tide was in, and covering the hot sand.
-We ordered take out from Amrikkos and it was really good
-We went to the gym to one of my favourite classes (I've just started going again and man am I out of shape)
-We played Dance dance revolution- my first time since Christmas (good times)
-I cut her hair and gave her a cute new look
-We had dinner at mom and dad's. It was salmon and many other tasty items such as zuccini delight. We played games after.
-We went to Cathedral grove and it was the first time for both of us, believe it or not. It was so pretty. We somehow managed to miss the waterfall? Adriel liked it because the trail was really bumpy and as long as I was moving he was happy.
-We stopped at coombs on the way home, where i bought at belt and a cute little cd case for Adriel's cds. We also got the best nectarines, chocolate, candied salmon, and of course the yummy bread.
-We went out to Melano's for date night. Then we played games with Doug and Delanie and Douglas.

On Saturday I had to take her back to the airport in Victoria. We listened to Adriel's lullabyes on the way down, and had some good laughs. We had good laughs all week. I was so sad to say good bye. It felt empty and lonely on the way home. For some reason I took saying goodbye really hard. Im still really sad about it. I dont know why she's so special to me. Its like what Karey wrote about hers and Laura's friendship. When Tasha moved home from Japan I cried and cried and cried. I felt like my heart had been broken-like a break-up. It lasted for a long time too. I felt that way again this time too, only not quite as bad. She's such a silly, happy, great friend. I love her so much. I think part of whats so hard is that I know I wont ever get to be close like that to her again. We'll always be apart from eachother, and only ever get visits.

A Quickie
Lately I have been recording movies off of tv and watching them. Last night/this morning I watched ghost. I was getting close to the end, and the recording just stopped. That's the second time the PVR has done that to me, right at the climax of the movie. Its just not right. I feel so unsatisfied, and really there's no way to fix it unless I were to go so far as to rent the movie just to watch the last fifteen minutes or something. Man.

Yesterday was a nice day with Kyle. He had the day off. I didnt do any household chores. Sometimes its nice to be able to just let it go for a day or two. We watched Akeelah and the Bee. It was good. A feel gooder. We ate chocolate cream pie. We had playful banter and a little bit of wrestling. Kyle of course always wins, and this gets tiring for me. We drove out to Chemainus to Leah's grandma's house on the Lake. We stopped on the way for yummy hamburgers from Food Country. We listened to the new Billy Talent cd, and I pointed out my favourite song. We went swimming at the lake while Adriel was sleeping. We had splashing wars. Each of us was on an inner tube. Kyle had a hard time with his, and decided part way through the swimming experience that he wanted to sit on top of his tube with his bum in the middle. He thought that would make for the ulitmate splashing experience. Thus the fight with the inner tube began. He fought and fought. Finally with my help he got on. We ate and visited with Steve and Leah. On the way home we played alphabets three times. He one first, by a long shot, I got stuck on J. Then I won, and he insisted we had to play again to break the tie. I won again and it was satisfying. For some reason when Kyle beats me really bad it bothers me. The competitive vein runs thick and deep in me. What can I say.

Kyle went out to run some errands and came back with Just my Luck with Lindsay Lohan in it. We started to watch it. It's very unrealistic, but fun to watch. I got tired though so I went to bed. Kyle didnt come to bed until around 1am and Adriel woke up shortly after. I wish he'd get onto a scheldule because every night is so unpredictable, and Im ready for my milk to regulate and not be so leaky.

Its nice to spend time with the hubby. I love him.
