Im making pizza buns for Kyle's lunch because apparently thats the sort of thing that good wives do so that husbands dont only have "boring sandwiches" to eat. The last time I made pizza buns for Kyle's lunch, they all got eaten before he had a chance to take them for his lunch. It was when I was overdue to have Adriel and I had nothing to do. The morning that I was induced the twins came over because they were in town for the recital. We watched some friends, particularly to one where Rachel was overdue and had some laughs- little did I know that I was up for a similar experience ha ha. Kyle and Jordan were working on the deck. Kyle came in for lunch and heated the pizza buns up in the micro wave because they were good that way. Amy and Bethany watched him eat them longingly, making comments like "those look good." Finally I offered them some, thinking "why wouldnt they just ask? Its just me, no need to be shy." And they both looked at me aghast and said my name in a way as if I had just done the worst thing. "How could you tempt us!?" oh. he he. I forgot about the "cleanse." Anyway, the pizza buns bring back that memory.

We are having a primary activity on May 12. We're going to make garden stones for Mother's day. (sorry katie its not a surprise for you anymore) It was something Tracy was planning on doing when she was president, so I decided to still do it. At first I pictured a lumpy mass of concrete with random things in it, like shells and beads- you know sort of tacky. But then I looked it up on the net and they're more like stepping stones, they're round and flat and you can do really cool things in them. They're actually quite cute, and I think they'll make a good mothers day gift. I hope lots of kids come because I know that not many showed up for Tracy's last activity.

Here are some of the latest of my cutite pie. Now he's awake. Gotta go.

ugh. The babelit and I are sick. He got it first and was kind enough to cough several times right in my face, thus passing it on to me. He was miserable, now Im not feeling so hot. I just want to be lazy. Im bored. Adriel's bored too. Im tired of blowing my nose. Im going to stop complaining now.

Actually, speaking of complaining, I saw this Oprah. She had this minister on who challenged his congregation to stop complaining. He issues this purple bracelets to everyone and the goal was to go without complaining for 21 days because that's how long they say it takes to form a habit. So the bracelet starts out on one arm, and when you complain you have to switch it to the other arm. You need to keep it on the same arm for 21 days, so everytime you switch arms you have to start over. I thought it was neat because once you stop focussing on the bad, you become more aware and grateful of the good and invite more good in your life. So it became this huge thing where countries all over the world are ordering bracelets. They're free. I odered some.

Ann just got an exersize ball. Adriel likes to bounce around on it. Kyle was wobbling him back and forth on his tummy on the ball. Then he just put his head down and fell asleep. It was so cute. Its funny how babies can fall asleep anywhere when they really want to.
It's been a busy week, but then saying it, I cant really remember what exactly I've done. Just know that I've done something with myself. Among the more exciting things, I coloured my hair again. I went back to blonde highlights on top (brown was too much upkeep with my roots-I like to be low maintenance because it doesnt get done very often) and then a ruby red/ auburn underneath. Its not finished yet though because we ordered some pink extensions that are going in. I decided I wanted pink long ago and Im finally doing it. I like that its going to be extensions too, because its a lot easier than going through the process of getting my own hair that colour, and I can just take them out when Im tired of them. Megan is the one is who has been doing my hair. She's going to be my boss soon.
I love fridays. Date night. good times

Sigh. I love my little boy. I used to think that I wanted a girl more than a boy, but I dont feel that way anymore. Boys are special, and I love mine. I also like that he loves me the most. It can be a little taxing at times when I need Kyles help and he just wants me, but it makes me feel good too. I like that baby's dont judge you, they just love you no matter what. Adriel doesnt care if I do my hair or not. He doesnt care if my breath stinks.

We just had a bath together. I discovered a new way to make him laugh. I bonk myself in the head with the bath toy and then it would land with a big splash in the water. Thus, I did it over and over again just to hear him giggle. Babies'giggles are so nourishing. I love his naked chubby body in the bath. By the way, he officially started crawling yesterday. He had been doing this swimming, combat crawl thing all last week, and now he's doing the real thing. I was starting to wonder if he'd learn to crawl at all. Im relieved that he has, even if it does mean he can get into more stuff, which he has been doing. Its so fun to watch him grow and discover life.

Well that's my life- being a mom.

It was a good weekend. Nothing spectacular happened, it was just good. On saturday morning I went to the pancake breakfast at the church with out Kyle. He was being a slugabed. Even if he had been up til four or something. Not my fault. His decision. It was a good breakfast too. Whip cream and strawberries make a good breakfast. Conference was so good too. So many uplifting things that I needed to hear. After conference Kyle worked on the house and I hung around and talked to him. It was nice to just talk. Something I do much more with my girlfriends. When Kyle went to the priesthood session, I bundled up my boy and we walked to Save On for some groceries. Mainly fruit. Kyle makes dinner on Saturday now to give me a break. We had Thai green curry which was yummy, and we noted on some improvements that can be made next time. Then I went to Katies for sister movie night. We first ventured out to the store with the girls to get some good eats for Sunday. Katie and I have the same sort of husband who craves something on Sunday. I may have had a mudsy moment outside the store when I was confused about which doors to go in. It was one of those things that just came out before I had time to think about it. Right afterwards I was disgusted at my lack of control over it.

On Sunday we watched the afternoon sessions with Steve and Leah. It was fun, and Adriel was a lot better behaved because he was in a different environment and had Lindy to play with. He's sort of learning how to scoot around on his tummy. When he's very determined to get to something he can get there. I learned this by having our computer keyboard on the floor in our living room. He wanted it SO bad and when I'll pull him away he'd get so mad. Whole body tense and shaking in frusteration. ha ha.
