My boys and this and that
Adriel discovered taking pictures on the camera, and he had a lot of fun taking pictures of everything in the house. Here's one he took of Sloan.

Meet my Adriel Dog. This is the dog house I made for him, and also this is his post nap look, which I found particularly endearing.

We practiced different emotions. This is mad Adriel dog.

This is his dog 'O' face.
Ha ha. This is his sad dog face. It made me laugh, and maybe you will too.

This is his gorilla impression while being a dog

Isn't he lovable?

I love my Adriel-Dog with ketchup on his face.

And here he is being my baby and my laundry basket is his crib.
And who can resist Sloan in his tight red long-john jammies?? There's just something so cute about a baby in tight jammies.
Sloan poses for Adriel
Adriel wanted to see my sad face

That's my baby who's not so babyish anymore. Something weird happened to the flash in this one. Yes, that's a lime. For some reason my kids like sour citrus fruits.
This is Sloan immediately after he woke up from his nap. He's smiling at me. Adriel took this one.

And that's it for now folks!

Update on the move front
Thought you would like to know that Dalhousie (Nova Scotia) rejected us. Kyle felt a little sad, and like no one's going to accept him, but obviously that's not true because we're in at Calgary. It would have been a really hard move anyway. So we're still waiting to hear from U of Manitoba...

A whirlwind
Wow, I'm way behind on my life again. My trip to Utah was really lots and lots of fun and was over so fast. Karen showed us a really good time. It was so good to see her and the boys. Those are some very special boys. And Adriel and Seth had a blast together. We were busy making things. Karen's very crafty and we got to make many cute things, including two skirts each and a lot of hair clips with flowers on them. We literally shopped till we dropped on Laura's birthday, in which she found so many cute things for herself that we couldn't even remember it all by the end of the day.Out of all that, I think I bought one thing for myself that day...But no worries, I certainly spent enough money and came home with too much stuff.

Being home has been nice but also has brought me back to the reality of house work and cooking and having a husband who's never home. Oh how I missed my Sloan. I feel like I had to earn the right to be his Mom again. He didn't fully accept me right away. He sat on my lap (after staring at me for a really long time) and kissed me but he didn't cry when I left the room, or any of the usual stuff. He wouldn't go to bed for me and I felt sooo guilty, like I had betrayed his little heart. But we're back to normal, and man I love that baby. I just want him to stay a baby forever. He's so adorable and sweet and I just love him to bits.

Mother's day was sort of not good because I was sick. I stayed home from church and layed on the couch and watched New Moon, while Sloan climbed on and off of me continuously. We had a really long nap in the afternoon which was nice and then Kyle made souvlaki for dinner under my instructions that are actually Layne's instructions and Ann came over. Kyle got me a big frame with lots of different spots for pictures (at my request) and I get to go shopping (only my favourite thing) with a certain sum of money to spend on myself kid free for as long as it takes... I wonder how long I can draw it out for??? :) So that was a good part of mother's day. And Adriel brought me some cute things home from church.  All day though I thought a lot about being a mother, and how lucky I am to have such beautiful healthy wonderful boys, and how they are really the ones that bless me, and help me to improve and grow. I'm the lucky one, not them. I just want to always have that gratitude, because it can be easy to forget when a certain almost 4 year old is throwing a tantrum and kicking the walls in his room....grrrr. I don't know what to do with him sometimes.

This week has actually gone by surprisingly fast. It's Thursday already. Tomorrow I get to go on a date. Well, my kids are finally asleep, so I'm going to nap too.

Oh and by the way, I started working again, now that Kyle's out of school, I'm working a part day on Saturdays, which should be fun. It's just for the summer until we move. Apparently I forgot to mention it to anyone...Last Saturday was my first day and it was dreadful because I was sick and my nose was constantly dripping, and it took all of my energy to try and not sneeze on my client (thank goodness I only had one) What could I do? Call in sick on my first day??
