Gone
This week on American Idol, Scotty McCreery rocked this song called Gone. He's this year's country singer. He's good, but I'm not that into country. I like the odd song, and he made me like this one. Now it's in my head. I think he may end up in the top two. Just sayin.

So now it's Friday night again. Got no special plans here. It's just me and the boys. The usual. I was lazy about dinner tonight and served my kids a platter of veggies and dip. Could be worse right? At least they like it and it gets some vegetables into them. Sometimes I just feel like what's the point of putting a lot of effort into dinner when it's just me and the kids? Today was one of those times.

And that's it, because I don't have a very interesting life.

you mean 'Gone like a freight train, gone like yesterday, gone like a somethin somethin Cadillac, baby!' ? That is a pretty great country song. It's one of the few I indulge in on occasion.

veggies and dip? I am so jealous! I would feel so happy inside if I could feed Owen such a healthy vegetable dinner! All he's eaten today is fruit and sugar and he refuses to eat anything else and I am at my wit's end!!

yep that's the one. it's good right?

If they're happy and you're happy, who cares? And what's this with no interesting life? I beg to differ!

I agree with Andrea! Also, a platter of veggies and dip sounds delicious! It makes it even better if they like it:)

I also agree with Andrea and Brenna. Of course you don't have to fuss with a big dinner when its just you and the kids. All mothers have figured that out-----only most don't even go to the trouble you did---like Kraft Dinner or Peanut Butter sandwiches. So don't feel guilty---its in the contract. Don't you remember eating Pork and Beans out of the can and Ice Cream out of the bucket when most of the family was taking John to the MTC???
