Well I took the house coat back, and that's that. Saturdays are somewhat of a hard day for me to endure. I just want one day with Kyle where we can do fun things, or even just be lazy... It's just like every other day though- he's gone and I'm on my own, blah blah blah blah blah.

Last night was our date night though, and I live for those few hours we get on our own. I also enjoy going out for dinner. Not only do I not have to cook, but I get a break from feeding my kids and eating uninterrupted. It's nice!!! We went to the Saigon Kitchen, one of my favourites. It didn't disappoint. While we were eating, Kyle asked what was going on for Valentine's day. I told him I don't know and that it's on a Sunday. He was like "oh well I have something planned. It's on the 26th." But then he didn't want to hold the surprise in any longer so he told me that we're going snowboarding with Dave and Kassie on Mt Washington for the day, and in the evening there's a Widemouthmason concert. That's his "favourite" band. I put it in quotations because I don't think it's really his favourite. I know he loves them and loves to see them live, but he hardly listens to them. Of course when he revealed the plan, my fist response was "And you arranged for someone to babysit?" He nodded. Wow, all the bases covered even. So I'm looking forward to that. I hope the snowboarding is fun- I haven't been in 10 years and I wasn't good then...so.? But a day on the mt with my shweetie will be fun no matter what, just because it's with him. We came home from our date and put the kids to bed and watched Love Happens with Aaron Eckhart and Jennifer Anniston. We made popcorn and got double chocolate chip frappacinos, which totally hit the spot. We both enjoyed the movie, although I didn't really think it had much to do with the title. It was good though, I had a teary eyed moment. Not Kyle. He doesn't cry. I've only seen him cry once in our marriage and that was when he was really sick with acute tonsilitis. I heard him cry on the phone when he was at basic training in the summer, and that was just a cracked voice, it wasn't balling or anything...Just thought you should know the stone cold rock that is my husband.

In other news, Mom and Dad visited this week. They stayed with Katie, and I feel like it was too short of a visit, but who am I to complain? We really enjoyed their company. They came over for dinner one night and after dinner we put kids to bed and then played games, which was fun. Adriel had so much fun with grandpa but he also got over excited whenever grandpa was around, which resulted in poor grandpa getting the brunt of a lot of body jumps and kicks and thwacks. I did my best to keep him at bay but one can only do so much.

Ok I should stop ignoring my kids...
