A quick word fer y'all Well it's morning. I had to get up today with Adriel because Kyle went to go work with Chris at 6:30. I put Sloan in his swing while I got Adriel and me some breakfast and washed the dishes from last night. About five minutes later he started fussing. I asked Adriel to go push the swing. He likes doing things like that for Sloan. The fussing went on and off and when I came into the living room his little body was slumped cutely and he was asleep like a little pea in a pod.
Maybe I'll actually leave the house and get some things done today? The day is young and I'm feeling ambitious. Should I actually try and run some errands with both kids and no other adult? Scary.
Yesterday night I was invited to a "girls night" by Aimee who was having it at Ann's. I thought it was a little peculiar that she was having it at Ann's but then I thought well maybe she just wanted to get out of her house and away from kids or something. Turns out she was having it at Ann's because it was a surprise shower for me. Luckily it was a little gathering with Esther, Leah, Katie, Rachel and Melissa, because I hate being the centre of attention at things like that. Really I didnt feel I deserved a shower because I got two with Adriel -one in Nanaimo and one in Qualicum- and I had another boy. So that was nice. I got some really cute things, and also some practical things. It was nice to be in a relaxed setting and visit and have some girl time. Aimee did a chocolate fondue and chocolate cupcakes with cherry pie filling in the centre, and there were other yummy things.
Adriel just interrupted me so that I could take him to go pee. Then while he was on the toilet he looked at me and said in a very serious voice "Poop too" while breathing heavily. I'm sorry I just think it's funny.
Aimee and Ann decided my new theme for Sloan's room is sort of like safari baby animals-ish. Aimee gave me the crib bedding that she made for Nolan's room and Ann gave me a big stuffed giraffe. I was sort of caught off guard because Aimee offered me the bedding but I said I wanted to see it first, you know not making any firm committment or anything. Also, I was kind of looking forward to deciding on the theme and picking out the fabric for her to make me my own custom bedding
set, which she offered to do. Only thing is, there are so many cute things out there, that I haven't decided. So they decided for me apparently. It was also the theme of the shower, because when Aimee does a party there's always a theme. It is cute though. I guess I can do baby animals, right?
Sunday was Sloan's blessing day, and it was a really nice special day for us. Sloan was cute and good while he was blessed and Kyle was inspired to say some really nice things about his life. We took a hurried

after church, which I don't really like of myself but ohwell. I didn't look so great that day anyway. I looked like I got up too early and was tired, which was true. The other is Sloan in his swing before church all ready to be blessed.
