I started this blog a while ago, clearly, and then got way too busy and caught up in stuff to finish it. So here it is. I'll update properly soon, I promise. I'm due for my four week picture too.
For those of you who don't know, we are moving. Our house was supposed to sell, but it fell through because the guy's parents backed out. Or something. Meanwhile Kyle and I were scrambling to find a place to live. I prayed and prayed to know what we should do. Where we should live. We looked and everything in our price range was pretty dumpy and just didn't feel right. I began to realize how spoiled I've been to live in such a nice suite with pretty kitchen cabinets, and counters and a nice stove and non-ugly carpet and a decent looking bathroom (although the shower leaves much to be desired). It was hard to swallow. We finally found a place on Rosstown Rd which is near Beban park. It's a duplex rancher with three bedrooms. It's not beautiful or emaculate, but it's been well-kept and it's decent. There are linen closets!! I've lived with out a linen closet for three years. I won't take it for granted again. Anyway I'm getting ahead of myself. We looked at this place last Tuesday and we both felt right away that it was right for us. We told the lady that we wanted it. That night we learned that the sale of the house didn't go through. It was the day before it was all supposed to be finalized, and I just couldnt believe it. I still really felt like it was time for us to move though. I feel like that was the answer I got from Heavenly Father. Our family is growing- not that we wouldn't be able to survive in this suite longer if we needed to- but for many reasons it's something we feel we need to do. So alas we are moving anyway. Our house remains on the market until the 15th, and hopefully it will sell. If not we may look into getting someone to rent our basement suite for a few months before it goes back on the market. I just started packing yesterday and basically I have a week.

Let's take a look at things.
It's already time for an updated photo. This is my ever growing bump at 34 weeks. Only six weeks to go! That's crazy! Just so you all know, Kyle is usually the one who takes these pictures of me, and let's put it this way: His focus is to get the job done. It isn't to show off what beauty I have, or to flatter me in any way. It's not about getting a good background, he just takes it from wherever he's standing at the time. So that's what I have to work with, and that's why these pregnancy pictures have been what they are. In this particular shot, he squatted a bit, which I think exaggerated my girth a bit, but let's be honest- there's a baby in there, and it's getting rather large and ready to come out. Also, you can't tell in the his picture, but my belly button is sticking out a little bit, which it never did for my last pregnancy. Weird.
We just went to the harvest ball last Friday, as we have been going every year for four years. The first year we don't have a pic of, because they didn't do it that year, but Kyle and I have managed to get our pictures done every year since. I thought I'd post them to show you how we've changed, and tell you all a little about each year and what was going on.
Ok this one I'm not the fondest of. I don't really like my hair. That was a bad hair year for me. Short hair and a chubby face didnt work so well for me. So this was fall 2005, about two weeks after I found out that we were pregnant. I was working at the Cutting room, Kyle was working for Dad, we just moved into the house we are in now.
Fall 2006. Bethany came to live in Nanaimo for a while and go to school. That was when all the hanging out and Friends began. Doug took this picture of us. We had to get him to take it a second time because the first one he took sitting down and we looked like giants. It didn't help that I was trying to hide the baby weight. I did the snake curls in Bethany's hair so she would look extra cute for Elder Fisher. However, when we got there, she was too embarrassed for him to see her, because she was afraid he'd notice the effort put into her looks and ducked right past him as quickly as she could. Also, that afternoon we went shopping for a new skirt for me (because nothing fit me). That was when I got brown swoopy skirt, which is a kind friend with a stretchy waist and will fit me at all times, (you'll note I'm wearing it in my prego pic above) and Bethany bought a skirt that was extra large just because it was on sale and it had pretty material. classic Bethany- buying clothes even though they are blatantly too big. p.s. Sister Arnott who was standing by, piped up and said if I wanted to look slimmer then I needed to stand up straight.
Kyle and I on the same night (obviously) I must say, Doug didn't do that great of a job this year on the pictures. We're looking at different things. I look squinty eyed in this one. That was the fall that Kyle went for the full beard look. He ended up looking quite a bit like a middle eastern terrorist. That was my blond hair stage. It was a fun stage.
Fall 2007. Doug just went around to the tables this year to take pictures. Bethany let me borrow her cute checked jacket thing. I wish I could borrow that again. I had just put some fun copper in my hair, and it really shows in this piture, which I rather like, along with the dark blue extensions. I like this picture. I think we look good. I feel it's an improvement from the previous years. Lucky for Kyle I seem to be getting better with age. No, Im kidding. Oh to be 20 again....
And at last, Kyle and I this year. No one took pictures of people this year, so I had Katie take these of us. I told Kyle to look like he loves me for this picture. That's the face he came up with. I shouldnt be surprised, he's done that face for many pictures, starting from when we were engaged. It used to really bug me, but now I've come to grips with it. At least it's not as bad as Ben's zoolander face.
And of course we had to do one that showed that we're expecting another baby. My hair could have looked better but you all know how I am about my hair. It's rarely perfect in my eyes. And that is the end of my harvest ball picture gallery. Hope it was a feast for the eyes.
