So it's been a bit lonely for me without my fubs. I lost two fubs within a week. Thats not fair. Amy just up and left for victoria yesterday. All of a sudden. I mean I knew she was planning on going, but not IMMEDIATELY! So, alas, Kyle has to endure my cabin fever all on his own at this point. I accept that they need to go and do their own things. I support it too. But its always hard to lose a sister. Now its just Katie and I. Katie is absolutely NOT allowed to leave. I only have so much support before my selfishness takes over.
On Monday we went to Vancouver to go to the switchfoot concert with Evan and Esther. We went separately though, because Jay Slobodan was babysitting baby Evan and Laura was watching our chubbins. We arranged with Laura to catch the 3:15 ferry to Tswassen and she'd pick us up on her way home from work. Mom dropped us off at the ferry at 2:30 only for us to learn that there was no 3:15, it was actually 3:50 and it was running late and wouldnt be getting in until 4:20. We didnt even end up leaving until 5. argh. Stupid ferries ruining things. The concert was starting at 7:30. We didnt really get there until 8:30 but it turned out to be ok becuase the opening band was still playing. It was general admission, so everyone was all squished to the front. It was sooo hot too. I realized I dont like concerts all that much. We were smushed up against strangers, sharing their sweat, smelling their farts, and I couldnt even really see the band!!! After a while Kyle and I left and walked out to the back. That was better.
Laura was kind enough to give up her bed for the night. That was much appreciated. The next morning we hid her key and caught the bus downtown and met up with Evan and Esther who stayed with Jay. We wandered a little bit, waiting for the Shabusen all you can eat japanese place to open. Kyle was determined to eat there. It was fun showing Evan and Esther Japanese food. Adriel was so good too. He sat fairly contently in a highchair and sucking on chicken bones. After that we caught the bus and ferry home with a whole lot of waiting again. It was a fun trip, but as always its good to be home again.
I've been doing lots of hair lately. I go through dry spells and then all of a sudden everyone needs a haircut. Between that and Adriel. I'm kept pretty busy. Well the chubby little boy just woke up, and wants my attention.

I've been sick. Its a sore throat, chest coughing thing, but last night my stomach really hurt too. I dont think Adriel has been feeling too well either because he's been SO needy. Like he always needs to be in my arms and no one elses. While it's nice to be needed, it can be a little over the top.
I've had a fairly lazy day. Woke up, put Adriel in his exersaucer and put a baby einstein on for him and went back to bed for another twenty minutes. Got up. Showered. Fed Adriel breakfast and myself also. We played. He went to sleep. I went to sleep. I woke up about an hour and a half later. Ate lunch. Adriel woke up. I fed him on the teat. Then Leah came over and I cut her hair. She's getting the pregnant glow. Im excited for her. Other people having babies is exciting. Then I fed Adriel his lunch and we played and he went down for another nap. Now im writing in my blog. I havent done my hair. It was wet when I had my nap too. Its messy.
Laura left out an important conversation we had about skin tags while I was visiting. We had a nice little show and tell. She'd show me one, I'd show her one. We'd ponder on whether or not one was a skin tag or just a pokey-outy mole. I showed her my twin skin crumbs located around the corner from my armpit. She showed me her armpit skin crumb. We bonded and grew closer together through the sharing and admitting of or our skin tags. We discovered new ones. For example, the back of my neck seems to be a spawning ground for those sorts of things.
We also happened upon the tv show called house of carters. Its like a reality show of Nick Carter and his brother Aaron and their sisters. Its just like their everyday lives of hanging out together or something. I dont know. It was so incredibly over dramatic, and cheesy. Yet, it kept us watching to see what was next, and what else they were willing to share with the general public.
After that we played hoopla. We won both times, but there were a few cheatsy things we did. We had some good laughs. When it came time to rush out the door, I was sad that my trip was over. Its always fun to visit Laura. We always have a lot of laughs. Every time I go, there seems to be a theme of some joke that we repeat in new ways through out my stay. I like that.
Well I cant think about what else to write about...
