Weekend woo hoo!
Well today Im excited because we are going to Vancouver. We are staying with Laura, and tomorrow we're going to see the Phantom of the Opera while Laura baby sits Adriel. We have third row seats. I hope that's not too close. I love going over to Vancouver, especially in the summer. I wish I could stay longer than just a day. I'll let you know how it goes...

Yesterday night we went to Baz and Pauline's for dinner. They are friends of Kyle's and his mom's. Baz was in our wedding party- he was the black groomsman. After dinner I was surprised with a baby shower. Ann had everyone hiding downstairs. I was totally surprised. I had NO idea. In fact, if I had I would have at least tried to look nice for the occasion. Instead I was wearing frumpy clothes, my haid hadnt really been done since the day before and of course, no makeup. Oh well, they got to see "Mommy Sarah" I guess. It was a little awckward at first because there were no games or any structure to the shower and it was all people that were barely aquaintances from the few times I've been to the Qualicum branch. I wasnt looking forward to opening the presents because I didnt know anyone's name. But, because I was busy with Adriel, Kyle opened the gifts which worked out well because he feels like he never gets to open anything, plus he knew who people were. We got a lot of nice things. One of which was this beautiful quilt an old lady made for him. We also got some weird things, like one lady gave us two bandaids, a used toy car, and a mcdonald's toy lion. I thought it was funny. I dont mean to sound ungrateful, though, Im sure she didnt have a lot of money and that's ok.

My baby slept through the whole night last night, which was really nice, and then I thought he'd stay awake for most of the day, but he's been sleeping and sleeping. Its sort of worrying me. He's so cute though.
